[Bug]Halifax in the FMB!
#1

Ok, I'm Angry :x
In the FMB when you make a Mission, on any map, you can choose the Halifax, and when you click on plane, to chose the skin, and nose-art, (if USSAF) the game screed flashed and then you can't really control the FMB, well you can but, its hard because the mouse is messed up and you cant see the object box!

This is quite frustrating, so to choose the stuff, you have to choose the plane before the Halifax, what ever yous is, is there a solution, I love the FMB but Quite annoyed about the First British bomber to be on Il-2 Sturmovik, all my other Modded Planes work fine,

Has anyone else had this Problem with the Halifax in the FMB? If not then try it out to see if it is the Halifax files or my computer, thanks,

If the problem you describe is what I think it is ... then I've had the same issues. Only it's not just the Halifax. I've had other mod aircraft do the same thing, and sometimes it happens just by selecting the plane and clicking "show".

I'm not sure what causes this, but sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes a plane that did this yesterday won't do it today. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all.

This is assuming we're talking about the same problem. It's difficult to tell since I don't know what you mean about the "mouse being messed up." With my issue, I can't see the cursor, though it will still select things if I hover the invisible cursor over an object or menu.

I usually have to close the game with alt-tab-del.

Hi All,

I have posted about this problem before and was told that this is an issue that concerns "frankenplanes" mostly. My best advice at this point it to select a different aircraft as player plane in FMB, preferrably a stock aircraft. With a stock plane, it shoulod be possible to open the individual plane tab in the objects menue and check the player box. Then go ahead and build the rest of your mission. When everything is done, go back to the player aircraft and in "properties" select the type you would like to fly, such as the Halifax, or the He-219. You can select the loadouts here, too. But make sure you don't touch the individual plane tab at this point, because if you do, the game is likely to freeze, more or less. Apparently, it is not possible to select skins or nose art for player aircraft, if they are "frankenplanes.'

If anyone knows how to overcome this "frankenplane" issue, please let us all know.

Regards,

RB

This problem has happened to me as well, but with the Me-109E1-E3. As I recall these planes have their own FM.

I've overcome the frankenplane issue by not installing any frankenplanes. Works great.

I get around it by selecting the player plane using the QMT utility...

Hi Skunkmeister,

That's a rather radical approach, but probably effective.
