Hello Chaps,
I'm looking for more cockpit references for the Do17z Project - I'm currently working on the internal cockpit model, but I'm somewhat hampered by a lack of clear photos or technical drawings that show the layout of instuments and postions of the various levers, switches, buttons and so on - the info that kind folks here have provided - while very useful - is lacking sufficent clarity, and in some instances are conflicting - I'm not sure if these are specifically for the Z variant, or for earlier variants. An extensive web search has revealed very little.
I'm also looking for better views/drawings of the gunner and bombadier postions (including bomb sight), and also for details of ancillary equipment & fittings: radio equipment, throttle quadrants, MG mounts & magazine racks/stowage, etc.
Anybody out there with a copy of the original 1940 pilot's 'Handbuch' for the 17z? This might provide the missing info that I need. Similarly, any good, clear photos of any relics preserved in museums might help.
Please do post here, or PM me if you can help.
Many Thanks
Hawkers
