In Windows Vista and Windows 7, IL-2 must be run in Compatibility Mode because the sim is an XP app.

If you have Windows Vista, then try the Reliability and Performance Monitor

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and in the list Click Reliabililty and Performance Monitor-or just find it in the Programs search in the Start box.
Then in the list click Reliability Monitor which will activate the System Stability Chart
Application Failures will appear under the chart along with other useful events logs such as Miscellaneous Failures.

In the upper right of the Reliability and Performance Monitor is a box where you can isolate the date of the failure. Many useful bits of information can help you know if it is your system, the application, or the connection that is the area of the problem, as well as a possible solution.

I'm certainly not. Vista, yeah probably (cos it's sh*te, innit) but Windows 7 will work fine without setting compatibility options.

I might also add here FWIW: Windows 7 FTW!!111!!111.

The last mod i installed was McWolf_DecalsShine, and befor that the F84G ThunderJet. But i took those out and still dont work, and i just tried taking out the mods, files, and game swichers and the game worked. But everything was in Russian, so its in 1 of those files. Or i could wate for my BD(on the 12th) to have a new computer (but since i have wildblue i would have 2 wate for my dl space to go way down.) and just do a new install of everything.

It might be interesting to connect your new and old computers to transfer files from the old PC to the new one. Also, may be that you can get a friend to fly with you online next to you-two computers side-by-side. Last thought, UI version 1.2 will be released very soon and it will have new mods, some issues resolved, improvements, adjustments, and nice surprises, I might add. I was online in the conversation last night with one of the guys who is putting it together and another who is testing it. AAA is making progress. Let us know how it goes.
