One of the campaigns I like to play is "RAF Pilot over France". But I have some problems doing that now. After the campaign loads, I get maybe a second or two glimpse of the inside of the cockpit of the Hurricane, then it completely disappears. Going into external view, there are only shadows on the runway, no aircraft visible. Engine sounds, but no aircraft. Sky, clouds, etc are still there. I can even see the icons of other aircraft. Hit ESC and the proper screen to end the mission (and each screen thereafter) appear but they are opaque. I can hardly see the mouse pointer (it's opaque to) to get it to the proper place to actually select "End Mission". My 67 yr old eyes have to look very closely. When I then load the next mission, it seems to work OK. But then, among the trees, etc, along the runway, I have what I can only describe as billboard looking things, white with vivid pink, interspersed. Seems I remember seeing some mention of the pink and white things in some other thread, but Lord knows where or when it was. The campaign I mentioned is the one that seems to have the most trouble, but it may be happening in others also.

Any idea what is going on? I'm sure it is something I have done. Graphics is the first thing that came to my mind, but I have no idea what to do about it.

The pink and white sprite is a tree file glitch I believe may be linked to bumpification mod so you may want to view that thread. I had that problem with normandy maps but I cant remember how I corrected but I do remember it has something to do with trees.

I had those "modern art" billlboards, too. They are supposedly trees. Perhaps this will make them go away.

Sorry, but I don't know how to help you in regard to your other issue (the disappearing plane and the opaque game interface).

Hi Bob, I've got the same problem; see viewtopic.php?t=20027&highlight= I disabled Benders cloudmod - a sad thing to do as I liked it very much - and have not seen this problem anymore BTW as you go back to the mission it works ok, only sometimes you have to go back and forth sveral times. Succes.

Thanks very much for your replies. The bumpification thing kinda stumped me, since a search didn't turn it up. I will certainly try these other things that you referred me to. Man, when you get to be my age (67) and see things that look graphical in nature, it could be that my eyes are just old. I'm always glad when someone else has/has had the same issue.
