Ok, i had a copy of 4.08 IL2 without any mods, i copied it back to the Ubisoft folder in program files, the original works, but when i install UI 1.1 on it it crashes at 70%. WFT is going on , i've reinstalled UI1.1 several times, i deleted everything and installed UI 1.1 again. I had UI 1.1 since 8 months ago and it worked perfectly but now it is acting like it is cursed. Can someone help me. I tried doing a search but ur search engine keeps giving me useless topics.
WTF! Did you delete the game folder the game leaves behind in program files when you did the uninstall?As stated in a different thread 70% CTD is caused by problems with static.ini, stationary.ini or technics.ini (mods which require editing of those files).
If it keeps happening after a reinstall check your optical drive.. I had a bad optical drive that once drove me NUTS for days after having to reinstall my OS @ 9 times.. and each time I had a different problem.. Turned out the drive was bad and it was missing stuff on the install..
When the new SAS site opens (this week I understand) there is/was a forum topic detailing all the crashes and there solutions - if you can wait till then you may find its just a simple missing line in your static.ini !!
