take a page...........

Hello

There are lots of requests for new planes.......... announcements of new planes and so on

Well this is only an observation............ 'mods' or 'add-ons' certainly seems to have kept this

sim going! And the more modders that get involved the more interest there seems to be in

this particular sim. So if more modders is good......... would many more modders be better?

But how do you get them? It seems that the 'construction' of a new plane is complex, at least

above most peoples level of ability............ certainly mine. So thanks to all who do this fine

work.

Anyone familiar with 'Xplane'? It has a feature called Plane Maker. Yep thats what we need for

IL2. Anyone who came up with a version of this for IL2 could really write their own ticket. In general,

I think in the future.......... really great sims will include the ability to mod or add-on to the original game.

Just my opinion. But I tell you this.........I'd pay 40, 50 bucks for a Plane Maker for IL2.

I'm not pushing Xplane........... its made for a totally different purpose and so doesn't compete with IL2.

So......... maybe taking a page out of someone elses 'book' would be a good thing?

In my very humble opinion, I think a little more encouragement and advice to aspiring modders could work wonders in developing and growing the enthusiastic following. The community will never progress by excluding or ignoring those who aspire to contribute and are happy to give of their own free time to do so.

GJE52,

no offense but your post seem to be not so helpful as feedback. It is very uncool to alway attack anyone 's opinion, no matter how it sound like. One day his idea may come true in future, and we never know if it will actually happen or not.

However, billmartin you have an interesting concept of idea where IL-2 1946 could have utilities that would be similar to x plane 9 programs. Since IL-2 1946 modding community have been growing more and more over time so I think it is good idea for you and rest of us to start growing more ideas that may help modders to build mods for IL-2 1946 in easier, more user-friendly way. So keep up witih your interesting ideas.

What GJ meant but I just think he's offering a different side of the coin, and not having a pop. I see the value in what GJ says; would love to get started myself but for a n00b the idea is intimidating; encouragement would be valuable. Course a simple 'maker' like Bill suggests would be ideal. I just don't know enough about that knd of thing to know if it's possible, is my opinion Bill. Hope it is, cos that would be fantastic :-)

Gentlemen please...........

no 'sides' or 'positions' are necessary for this....... just an observation / suggestion is all it is meant to be.

But I think there would be many more ac in the game if something like this were available.

And just maybe that would be a good thing!?

walls/barriers are only there to keep people out that don't want it bad enough.
