Hi all

Anyone else suffer the problem that when launching UI1.2 the game does not take priority within windows and loads in the background forcing me to ALT+TAB to get the game as full screen and functioning?

I have the same problem in UP but UI1.1 never gave me any trouble but now with UI1.2 my game loading time has increased significantly and I suffer the problem outlined above, anyone know a fix for it?

Yes, many of us... and not from 1.2.... more earlier. Didn't find the cause... got used to it . It is doing this only first time (per PC boot) I launch the game... usually.

but, maybe someone knows/finds why this occurs.

I had no problems up to UI 1.1, when I loaded UI 1.2 last week, this problem started. I solved it by completely reinstalling IL-2 1946 from sctatch all the way up to UI 1.2 and it solved it. Now I do not have this problem any more.

..yup, all fine here too ( if i don't click on the desktop during game loading so game acts like "inactive window" )

I've always had this problem LOL, used to think it was just me

Actually, I can remember I used to keep clicking the desktop randomly until the UI screen came up, in order for it to not appear as a background app

It's funny though, because for some reason vista decided to turn UAC back on on my PC, so now when I click the il2.exe it asks me if I want to run it. Since getting this message though, il-2 never opens as a background app which is alright with me

I have the same problem as well. Didn't have it with UI v1.1.

Happened occasionally to me using 1.1 Happens EVERY time using 1.2

I've had it since day one regardless of the version I'm using, so it can't be pinned to just this latest version..

Ditto. Does anyone, when loading games, get a screen showing (maybe) the loading screen of the UI and you have to minimize the il-2 window and then re-open it in order to show the mission loading page?
