Dont let BEARS work on your planes
#1

A bear attacked this plane while parked at a remote field up here in AK. The owner had not fully cleaned out the inside after a recent fishing trip and the bear smelled it.

He ended up having 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and several rolls of cellophane delivered. Then he went about patching it up enough so he could fly it home.

Gutsy to say the least

Up here in the great state of Maine (lol) I have heard stories of a frenchman named "Lucky Le'chance" that flew a Champ with the prop help together with bailing wire and duct tape! Big Grin Didn't think this was even in the realm of possibility until I saw the pics of that Husky (or is that a cub? hehe) Now I almost believe in santa again! Thx

BTW, where did this happen, I have some family in North Pole

Sakai07.....I used to watch "The Flyin Farmer" go thru all his flying tricks in Maine when growing up there in Sabattus. He had a big hole in the roof of his J3 Cub to stand up in and one in the floor to allow his legs to extend down from. One fly-by he would stand up in the hole in the roof and the next he would have his legs hanging down thru the floor and the show announcer would yell like crazy that he was falling out of his plane. The crowd would go wild.
My brother flew Cubs and I remember him say that he would never fly the "Farmers" plane because of the big holes in it. Good memories indeed.

Hey, never woulda figures so many mainers here, but it is cold so we tend to hibernate 8) It's so funny that u mention the flying farmer because I have seen him too! When I was a kid my grandfather flew out of Merrymeeting (08B for u FSXrs like me Big Grin ) Anyways, we used to go anywhere there would be airplanes. I was pretty young but i remember being scared poopless cause I thought he was going to fall out of the plane! Too bad I cant find any pictures to post, maybe a quick search of the net....
