Arsenal VG 33, Bell XP 77 Interceptor->(VideoClip added)
#1

I wish somebody would create the Arsenal VG 33 and if possible its Variants:VG-30 (prototype), VG-31 (reduced wing size), VG-32 (original wing size and an Allison engine), VG-33 (production). The VG-34, 35 and 36 were prototypes with more powerful engines and the VG-39bis would have been a production model with a 1600 hp (1194 kw) Hispano-Suiza 12Z engine. Smile

(Also while your at pilotfriend website, take a look at the other planes on left side of webpage.)

Be neat to see this plane in the game along with other ones. I mean I know there are alot of planes out there that are not in the IL2 series like the Vought flapjack, or the F8F Bearcats, or XP 85 Goblin parasite fighter, or British Vampire and the Bell XP-77 Interceptor just to name a few. :-?

I certainly agree that the Arsenal VG 33 or VG 39bis should be made... Don't get me wrong, I love what-if fighters, but it's sort-of border line with some American planes that didn't get the engines they needed like the XP-77, XP-55, XP-74, XP-68, etc. It would probably be better to make production versions of planes that never got finished or saw service because of the way the war went like the XP-81, XP-72, P-75A, XF2R-2, XF5U, MB.5, CA-15, XP-51J, etc.

Just for the record, the Vampire F.5 and the F8F are WIP at the moment.

I would still love to have one of these, though, with the intended engine, to defend LA against Japanese attacks. Here's to the Battle of California...

Yes It would be neat. Thanks for all who replied to my topic. Big Grin

I just thought I would mention it, b/c I felt that probably many have forgotten or did'nt know about most of these and other planes not mentioned. Big Grin

You know what... If I'm successful with the P-51K-10NT and the F-6D-20NT, I think I'll make the P-75A-GM Eagle.

Another thing if those two links I posted earlier don't work for some reason. Just highlight them, then right click on the link and select 'Search with Bing" It will open up a second tab showing content.

VG 33 Arsenal is avaliable for download as a third party download for Combat flight simulator 2 game.

Ive downloaded the plane for my CFS 2 game, but have not tried it out yet. And were talking about a game thats old now. Still fun but CFS 2 lacks all the stuff new stuff in IL2 series.
