After installing UI 1.2 I seem to have lost the ability to access the Halifax. Any reason as to why this has happend. It was a solid install with all componets working. Even tested with WinRAR and did fresh downloads of the corrupted files. Just wondering where this plane went. Thanks for the help. Sempr FI!!!

EDIT: It also seems that I lost the mods that added corrected weapon loads to planes like Fw-190, Hurricane, and IL-2s. These were the mods that came out in eight parts and gave features like a paratropper TBM and a stuka that dropped a supply crate. Another question is did the UI 1.2 rewrite my plane_ru, weapons_ru and air.ini files. If it did not just adding these mods back to mod folder will fix problem correct. again thanks for all the time and help.

Yes cplpflumm shame about that ,what i have done is i still have Version 1.1 and a install in another drive of 1.2 so you get the best of both

So are you telling me that Halifax is not compatable with UI 1.2?

i got it to work.. all i did was install a new halifax and the patch and that fixed it right up

That's all that is needed too. You do not need to install the buttons file that came with the Halifax since the buttons are already in the update.

The Halifax was throwing some exceptions which are the things that will cause lag online, (hit Shift-Tab when you're flying it you'll see what I mean)) so it wasn't included if they get fixed it may be re-included later. Just remember if you put in some of those mods you may find you are no longer CRT=2 for some servers you'll have to comment them out.

What about the .ini files for the aircraft weapons mod? The ones that came with new slots.

For me it wasn't just the Halifax that didn't work but also the Fairey battle and the FW190-A3. Fixed them all by reinstalling them.

the new UI1.2 brings new ini and dat files, so will loose all addons and mods you had before that;
either reinstall or back up your old ini and dat files, use WinMerge to compare the content of the backed up and new files, created the new ini and dat files as required and you are good to go...

I created my own new modded install, merging the best of UI1.1.1 and 1.2-a little bit complicated, but it works

thanks for the idea for Winmerge. I have my old UI 1.1 install saved on my external so I will move my mods and .ini folders over. Just to clarify this will giveme back my other mods correct? Thanks for all the help.

I used the Winmerger and what a time sever. Thank you for the tip. My UI 1.2 has all my mods and planes now. thank you for the advice. Semper FI!!
