Hello, i have been making some quick missions with both version of MiG-15 just to see what happens, apparently the "frankenplane" MiG-15 performs better that peterd's MiG-15bis, it turns, climbs and manoeuvres better that the MiG-15bis, while peterd's MiG-15bis accelerates-decelerates better, and it can withstand more damage without loosing control, do you know which one has the most realistic flight model of the two?.

Ranwers' "mig-15" is just the mig-9 with a new 3D model. It still has the mig-9 flight/damage models. therefore, PeterD's Mig is the only accurate one, because it has a FM and DM made specifically for the Mig-15.

Still, even that fact being true, why are they outperforming the "real" MiG-15bis?.

No, i am talking about the virtual planes that we can use in IL2.
The mig-15 had avantages in many ways over the f-86 (and i saw that in the game too), but i am talking about the "frankenplane" mig-15 surpassing the "real" mig-15bis (in the game of course), the migt-15bis was a improved version of the mig-15, having a more powerful and reliable engine, more advanced avionics and several upgrades in general, thus being a better performer that the "normal" mig-15 (all that information is extracted from wikipedia and warfare.ru).

if you have the 4.09 with mods don't use the installer! add them manually.

I'd say it's because of people trying to turn with it and getting into that nasty flat spin that you need 6000ft to get out of, let alone gather speed to recover.

Well, we need an appropriate Saber to fly against it. We get a mid/late era Mig and a brand new straight out of Experimental stage Saber? Give me an F-86E or F-86F please! Lol

I have flown the MiG-15bis and it is a very nice plane, if you are not too rough you will be okay with it, i am refering most to the fact that, having 15 ace ai MiG-15bis vs. 16 ace ai MiG-15 "frankenplanes", the franken mig's won allmost every battle, and they do seem to be better performers in the areas i mentioned before.
