Have I gotta totally unique install here - I think so!

But it's running sweet and I'm loathe to tamper with it. Big Grin

It's got ALL of the modded RAF/RN aircraft from here, plus the B-29, Cantz.1007's, VVS Hurricane mods and the planes that the Mod Activator made flyable, then I've got ALL the maps installed and working for 4.08 and 4.09b, with all new library objects showing up etc.

Then I've got the buttons from over at SAS immeadiately prior to the 4.09 release (didn't bother with that), so I've also got Ranwers Typhoons, N1K "Rex" and Halifax, their set of Avengers, plus the Spits 1b, 11b and Hurrie 11A. All work fine in offline missions made with FMB using the SAS "substitute" method. I've also got the excellent SAS QMB too.

Amazingly the whole rag-tag lot seems to be wholly compatible! Although I claim no particular credit for that! Confusedhock:

And I've even got the cool start-up screen that's got the Spit on the tail of a 109.............

Yessss

Big question; If I build some historical mission packs to put on over at M4T, will anybody be able to use them?

For uploading missions I would suggest a separate install to build missions on in a clean UI 1.2 or wait for the 1.2.5,
easier to keep track of any needed "added-on" mods this way and a good base to start with especially map wise ete ...

All installed by the UI including the end user's installation which would make for better guaranteed compatibility.

This is only of course... IMHO 8)

Easy

Hi Flying_Spud,

You really seem to have quite a unique and interesting version of the game. I noticed in your post that you mentioned the N1K "Rex". Could you please let me know where to download that plane from?

Thank you,

RB

flying_spud: I would not hesistate to try any new scenarios from you. I have a very similar IL-2 install, except for 'Ranwers Typhoons, N1K "Rex" and Halifax', substitute all the new flyables from 409m-final. Big Grin

You may be proud of having a "...totally unique install...'. However, when it comes to sharing missions or online compatibility, it's probably the worst thing you can have.

If you only play offline by yourself, then I'll give you a 'job well done'.

No prob; the Kawanahi N1K "Rex" I got from over at SAS prior to their site getting hacked into. It has its own slot (doesn't replace the "Rufe") and is very nice. Don't know if its still there - haven't been there for a while! Bear in mind that their mods are for offline play only.........
