I'm trying to install stab 6.3 but the exe won't work on my download from mission4today, I've tried at least four different downloads.
I'm running 4.09m with UI 1.1 modded to the max and SAS buttons v2.9 and vista ,soon to be win7 32

I get this message when I run the installer and I've put the Stab files in D/ Games il2 stab 6.3 as well as my il2 modded game in D/Il2 1946.

Il2 Sturmovik Stab error
Il2 Sturmovik Stab does not appear to have been installed correctly.
Please run setup from the distribution media again.

Not too sure what to do ,please help on this someone.

I am fairly certain that this will resolve it:

Go into your game folder and make a copy of the "il2fb" exe. Paste it in the same place and rename it to "il2" (no speech marks). That's it. Run the installer again.

Some programmes need this to be in place - another one that comes to mind is the excellent 'Mat Manager' for displaying more accurate markings.

Hope it works - I've used this every time on all installations with no probs.
