Interesting conversation here: http://www.airforce.ru/history/cold_war/mihin/index.htm but only for those who know how Russian  .

Course is that the package contains three versions of the normal skin. Clear, without numbers and full marking .

Colors seem a bit wrong, but I checked them in Russian and other sources.
It should be:
cca FS 35450 A-28m Blue
cca FS 34102 A-24m Green
cca FS 30266 Sand

I fixed a bug in the skin of the canopy MiG 351.IAP.

Sorry, I'm a bit behind the curve on the modding scene. What's the correct name for the skin folder for these outstanding Migs?
Thanks in advance

So for both at once:
You must have installed this:
viewtopic.php?t=21367
or that mode:
viewtopic.php?t=22495
Attention modes are not equal

Then you should have a folder MiG-15(bis) in the folder ......IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\...
Or, similarly, depends on both the aircraft name in file air.ini

Can you fly MiG-15?
So:

If so, open the file folder air.ini in .....\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects and see exactly how the MiG names. Then look in the folder PaintScheme whether there is a component MiG-15xxx and check the name, as well as MiG-15 air.ini. Paint schemes is in the folder is, so it create the same name as the air.ini.

If you do not have MiG-15bis menu flying machines so:
viewtopic.php?t=21367
or that mode:
viewtopic.php?t=22495

sorry about the lousy English

Mathaus,

I wanted to ask you something. I was thinking about putting some kill markers on some of my MiG skins, but I wasn't sure what they looked like in real life. I then did some research on the internet. I couldn't find any pictures of MiG-15's with kill markers.

I see that your skin has kill markers in the form of red stars. Do you know if this is historically accurate? If so, would you have any links I could check out? Thanks for any help.

According to the link below (an interview with a russian pilot), The MiGs had victory markings painted on them, but it doesn't say what pattern they used, but one may assume that they would have used the same as in WWII with the red star. Of course, more research would be needed.
