I have a weird problem, and only in Il2. When I bnk my plane, and recenter the stick my ailerons stay a little bit off, and the bankink continues. The in-game stick looks centered, and the problem is not visible in the il2 controls menu - joytick setup.
What's this? What should I do?
Thanks!
What kind of stick is it?
saitek aviator. Spring centered.
happend to me twice I think...I just delete and reloaded the whole game, then it was fine

Here's a cheap workaround I used to use with my old Wingman - provided the centering is consistant:
In the calibration setup just move the stick to the side the problem is. For instance: the wing is always starboard side low; there is left aileron introduced. When the calibration comes to the point of leaving your stick centred and pressing a button, just hold the stick slightly to starboard when you hit the button. This way there will be right ailron always introduced by the stick. I've used this trick for planes that don't have trim on some axis. They always fly with one wing low or rudder is constantly needed for port or starboard. Obviously this can get to be bit of a bear to have to readjust the calibration for different planes but, when you only fly one plane most of the time, this works fine - for me anyway.
Great days all.
I have aviator also, and I don't have problems like this - only problem that I have - in all games - is that plane is sometimes banking right on itself.
I too once owned a saitek but i just couldn't get on with it, both with il-2 , thirdwire series and cfs3 mods - in the end i binned it and replaced with a logitech and have had no problems since.
I use a logitech and lately when I start the game the plane will nose itself into the ground. I can see that it is a joystick error because I can see it in the setup menu. When I go to windows and try to calibrate it, it's like the center point magically moved to the point that when im pulling all the way back on the stick, it's only half way back. As you can imagine this is pretty rough in a combat sim. When I repeatedly re-calibrate the stick, I get most functionality back, but it still doesn't feel quite right.

I also have a Logitech stick and what I have found that about once a week { UBS } I unplug the thing and replug it
back in and all is fine. If I dont do this the Calibration will be way OFF.
I had a big problem with my LOGITECH FORCE 3D PRO joystick.
I couldn't set it at all.
I asked in some forums (included this one) and even wrote to Logitech help center: no way.
Well...I just uninstalled all drivers, plug the stick and installed it as a windows default stick (without introducing any CDs or driver files). I calibrated it with the standard windows control panel config center, and TA-DAH: everything's working great!
If you have problems with your sticks try this.
