Everyone has to start somewhere so keep it up.

In saying that I would post in the Discussion forum for tips to improve the skin rather than just uploading it.

Theres a lot you could do to this skin to make it look even semi Historical and people can help if you ask

I just gotta back up what Phas3e said- we all gotta start somewhere. And it would definitely be a good idea to post in the skins discussion before just posting a download link. The best way to learn how to skin is to 1. post in the forums, and ask for feedback and tips form the more experienced skinners, and 2. find some good templates (simmerspaintshop.com has a lot of nice ones, mostly by jesters-ink), by different skinners, and examine the way they have their templates laid out. play around with those templates until you feel comfortable with them, and then you can start making some more major modifications, such as making your own weathering, lighting, and other such layers. Once you get really good at that, you can start trying to make your own templates. Keep in mind that it doesn't happen overnight. I was skinning for about 6 years before I decided to try my own template. So, just keep at it, TAKE YOUR TIME, and remember that just because you think a skin is done, doesn't mean it isn't. There is always something that you can improve. -Case in point- I just released my P-51D skinpack, but today I opened up the template and made quite a few pretty major changes that would have made those skins even better. So, sometimes it's better to wait to release a skin until you're absolutely sure that there isn't anything better that you can do to it (and even then, there usually is...)

So, just so summarize, get some templates and play with them, take your time, ask for, and listen to, advice from other skinners, and keep at it, and you'll be well on your way Wink

* I'm also a Gimp user, since way back at version 2.0, so if you need help on how to use a certain function or something in it, I should be able to help.

simmerspaintshop.com is brilliant for historical markings, historical colour swatches as well as their collection of templates, I'd also highly recommend visiting there and registering (that way you're not restricted to one download a day!). You've got potential, keep it up

I would recommend getting a template and really fiddling with it to understand what the really great and top name skinners do theirs. That's how I learned.
