Hate to be a wet blanket, but the thing that I noticed were the words "we can't show more at the moment due to replacement of many elements in our 3D engine."

That sounds like a bad case of "feature creep" to me.

Maybe they are transferring their engine to be DirectX 11 compatible

For me it all seems that old 80% complete syndrome. It is very common in IT world. Just when everything is almost ready, some new techology thing comes out and we thet start again from scratch.....
Not coming to our comps during next 2 weeks, be sure.

If anyone remembers Falcon 4.0, they did a massive amount of work on a software graphics and boom.. hardware graphics cards suddenly hit the merket.. then Direct X... It took them so long to actually get it out the door that they spanned a couple of generations of graphics technology.. the time they wasted was massive and in the end the game was hugely handicapped by having its core foundations a generations or two behind..

My questions are... is SoW going to end up like RoF..Pay for planes and... you must fly on their servers?
This is going to kill RoF.. I know lots of guys have put RoF on the shelf for these reasons. Is SoW heading for the same destiny?

I'm sorry to say but i remember that Oleg said himself that there would be planes you would have to pay for in order to use like RoF, but gladly it's not like WoW where you MUST pay to play.
