Logitech joystick issue =solved=
#1

I had a big trouble with my Logitech Force 3D PRO joystick.
After months of trials (and customer support mails) I managed to solve it.
So I share this, hoping it can be useful to somebody.

I couldn't set my stick at all, force feedback was terrible, and the software was using only 1/3 of the total excursion of the stick.
No way of fixing the Logitech drivers or software.

So I tried the most stupid thing in the world: uninstalled all drivers and used the stick as a default windows gaming device. I callibrated it withe the usual control panel calibration utility (which was formerly unavailable) and now the joystick works properly, and I (finally) find it very confortable, although it's quite cheap!

The only problem is that each time I turn off the stick or computer I have to re-calibrate it, because Windows doesn't save my settings! Any ideas?

I also have that stick and have NEVER used the drivers that come with the stick.
Set it up in windows and that is it. Make your settings inside the game and it works fine.
I have been doing this for over a year now.

Exactly: I used the Logitech drivers, which (in my case) didn't work at all!

Now I feel pretty comfortable!

Thanx!

One thing I have noted is UNPLUG your stcik once a week or so.
The Calibration gets off a little and by UNPLUGING it fixes that .
Plug it back in and your good to go ~!!!!!~

Really skyomish?
Each time I shut down my PC my joystick calibrations goes lost!
I always re-calibrate it. Not a very big problem, but sometimes I get tired of this.
Do you know a way of saving calibration?

Thank you!
