Jim, I don't think the UP version gives you a modded version of 4.10m. It just gives you the ability to switch between UP and 4.10m using the same install folder.

We will have to stop support for 4.09, and over a period of time, 4.09 mods and activators will dissapear from the site as they get replaced and updated.
To do this, we will be creating some interim sections in the forum, whereby 4.09 and 4.10 mods will be seperated.

This will be a bit of chaotic time, and some will be very unhappy about the ending of support for 4.09, but that is how it has to be. The two patches are just THAT different. In future, SAS and UP may approach the integration of new official patches differently, to lessen this situation, but for this one, it either has to be all or nothing.

Later tonight I will upload the first simple modactivator for 4.10, and I will start breaking up the forum. I will also upload a new buttons. There will no longer be an Off and Online buttons, as I will get UP to mirror us in terms of opening canopies.

New buttons will not be compatible with 4.09. Nor will new modactivators or anything else. 4.09 will become a legacy product, and, we will hopefully withing the next few motnths have no 4.09 things left here.

Please understand, this will be hard, but we cannot support two or more versions of the game. We have to get everyone on the same page if we are going to move forward in a meaningful way.

So, get yourself a copy or two of clean stock 4.10 ready on your PC, for modding and for a future UP version.

Lock down your current 4.09 install for your own fun, and know that where it is now, is where it is going to remain.

We are not yet sure what will and will not work (and to what extent) with 4.10, but we will tackle it one mod at a time.

We will set up the forum to make that process easier.

Hi Jinxx,

First Thanks for this post from SAS, That is a very good explanation ! All clear, I hope people will be patient because no doubt that SAS teams will do hard work to upgrade our favourite simulator... Thanks for sharing it here !!!
