I agree. Should have been in PF. The commonest Jap divebomber by far 1943-45. The D3A1 in the game was retired by end of 1942! Even the kamikaze Val's were the later D3A2 which we don't have either!

i agree with you guys. i wish the few people who have the skills and talent to make aircraft would spend more effort making aircraft that actually flew and mattered during the war instead of making experimental planes that didnt have any impact.

I would perfer to have the A-36A-1NA that Lt. Wolf's working on, but that's just me... The Judy looks rather ugly compared to the Apache.

You guy's are too much...

To actually implying that those who have obviously spent a considerable amount of there own time learning things instead of asking for things ...
which is how they acquired there "talent" and who have obviously spent a considerable amount of there own money on software so that they can do..
"what ever it is that they want to do" with the software that they purchased.

To actually imply that they should spend time on what you think is more important,is absolutely unbelievable...

These have to be the worst posts I ever read on this forum, always a few with the demands and thinking that they know better what others should do with there free time!

I don't think we meant anything nasty, at least I know i didn't - perhaps you're being a bit over sensitive here guys? Chill. Big Grin

You plane builders are great and we all think you're gods etc etc (bow, kneel, crawl).

This game isn't just about new planes though; it's skins, maps, missions, campaigns, cockpits, effects, sounds etc. too.

I'm sure you plane builders wouldn't claim to be totally above any critisism at all would you? I seem to remember il-2 fans screaming and yelling in very impolite terms (read abusive) at the official PF forums because they couldn't get their pet planes included....

It should really be okay for people to say that they would like to see some of the core aircraft that fit in with the game concept being attempted before the weird and wonderful - I mean you don't have to do em do you?

I know I also spend a heck of a lot of my free time building historical missions, others build campaigns which everybody can download and play too. I don't know about the other mission builders but I sometimes spend months researching my stuff and buying new books etc. Then you find a load of the planes are still not available even thouigh it seems il-2 has been modded for years now.....

At least you guys get loads of praise and general worship for doing your stuff - which is more than most skin/mission/campaign authors do!

So enjoy your praise because we all love you - but you must allow some constructive criticism from time to time without always falling back on the old "you can't criticise plane builders cos we alone are above it".

Ugly or not, ANY of both historical and an alternative historical aircraft deserves to be flyable in IL-2 1946 and each of us have our own 'tastes' in each aircraft. And remember, don't judge book by its cover, any AC may be ugly or beautiful from outside but what really counts is inside them and how we pilot them. And again, not every of us fly aircraft the same way, even if performance of aircraft so inferior or superior, its pilot that always make the difference!

Chaoic out...
