It's a good picture of her. But where have all these lame nicknames for WWII fighters come from? Ponys, Stangs, 'Sair and now Thundies? It's enough to make old fighter pilots cringe.

Rjel - those nicknames are not lame.
Some of pilots used to treat their maschines almost like best lovers - that's why the call them diminutively.

I fully understand that. Those weren't wartime nicknames to the best of my knowledge. At least I've never once read those names in any writing then or in recent years. No those nicknames are from very recent times, I'm guessing since this sim has been around. I don't care for them to be honest but that's just my opinion.

Well he said in the original post that he did'nt know who to give credit to or ask permission of. If you can tell us for sure I imagine that he will ask permission and give proper credit.
