Hi all, Im trying to find a skin of one of the 379th bomber group planes. I believe they had a K in a circle painted ont their tails.

The one with the red painted tail is most unusual - these red painted stabilizers were used by the 1st combat wing (1st air division) only. 1st CW consisted of 91st, 391st and 398th BGs (Group letters in triangle on tail A, L and W). Perhaps it was a bird which was drafted from 1st CW to the 379th BG.

Mantock, what exactly are you looking for? A skin of an individual B17 or generics? F or G type? Olive drab (OD), natural metal finish (NMF) or the late NMF with highvisible markings (HiVis)? There are very few individuals (fully marked) skinned so far but there are some nice generics (stars bars and bomb group markings only) markings. State what you want and i possibly can help.

A B-17 G. a generic one would by fine, thx. umm, and as to OD, NMF, and HiVis,, I would like to get one of the silver bare metal ones. WIhout paint, but i dont really mind if it has paint or not. thx 4 your help guys!

the reason Im interested in this is coz my grandad was a 379th B-17G captain, but I dont know what plane he flew or any more specific info than that really, but thx for all your help guys, its given me some good stuff to begin with.
