Here is a public beta release of my North Korea 1:1 map:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ntgwyhxhdg5
This is a work in progress, and changes will be made in future.
*Update - Beta 3*
================
New actors.static which should remove problem objects - should work for people having problems saving / connecting online.
Changes since beta 0.1:
================
Detailed industrial areas added.
Airfields cleaned up and populated. Taxi points tweaked.
Osan Airfield now appears as it did in 1952.
Roads and rail lines expanded.
Coasts now at sea level.
Rivers at sea level for ~100 km inland.
Bridges along coastal rivers are now functional. There are now about 80 functional bridges on map. Roads have been reworked around inland rivers and through cities.
Textures changed. Map now looks more like pictures from the era, with light earth tones rather than lush greens.
*leftover bridge objects removed.
Notes:
=====
The major airfields (Kimpo, Osan, etc) are based on best available data, and may change as new information is found.
Some of the smaller strips are meant as emergency landing strips only (as they were historically) - trying to take off from Inje or Briscoe field, for example, might be tough.
The map is very large but fairly lightly populated. It loads in ~30 seconds on my machine. Important areas, like industrial sectors and ports, are more detailed. It may become more populated in future releases.
There is no proper map_f.tga, so if you play it on less than perfect settings, you might have problems.
Trenchworks may be added to the MLR in future releases. They will be in a separate load.ini, so old missions should not be affected.
Osan airbase is designed with F-84's and other jets in mind, so there is much more runway going west than east.
If you find a major problem with the map, like a missing bridge or a malfunctioning airfield, please PM me with the location and I will fix it for the next release.
The map has been tested in U 1.2 and HSFX 4.1
