There's still a few possibilities ;

D3A2 "Val"

Ki-100-1b Goshiki-sen (bubble canopy version)

Ki-21-11b "Sally" (dorsal 12.7mm gun position instead of glasshouse)

Ki-43-111

P-40N

P-47N

Mosquito XV111 (with 57mm molins gun)

Beaufighter V1

Can anyone hink of any more?

How about stuff that requires entirely new 3D models like the KI44,B26,HE219(no,the HE219 was never really done-skinners are unable to do much with it because of several problems, but the prototype is still fun)

First thought was Hurri IIc with bomb loadout, because - presumably - it would be relatively simple; aircraft and loadout already exist, they just need putting together. Used a great deal in the Far East even into '45.

To Howlin's good suggestions I'd add Do-17/217.

There's a whole load if you start looking for ac that require building from scratch: Meteor (the allied jet that actually saw service), the other RAF heavies, Sunderland, the other Italian medium bombers and peebles's suggestions would also be at the top of any list.

I know everyone has their own favourite they specifically want to see added, but as I started that list above it crossed my mind that there were really quite a few that had been missed out - and not the 1946 style what-ifs , but real aicraft that flew and fought during the war, hence the long list Big Grin

Interesting stuff guys but I really meant variants of models that were already in-game, like the Ki-100-1a into the Ki-100-1b etc. You know, like OM/1c have done with all the 109's. Big Grin Presumably these aircraft would seem the best starting point before doing totally new aircraft?

Thought of another; nightfighter variant of the Ju-88 springs to mind?

Also wasn't there a mega-heavily armed variant of the later Fw-190A series called "sturmbock" or something like that? Believe it packed extra armour for getting in close to enemy heavies during daylight.

2 seat fighter trainers come to mind as well, but guess they're pretty useless ina game really. Confusedhock:

How hard would it be to convert the ai H6K into a Sunderland (flyable?) or the MBR thingie into a Walrus I wonder? Or the armed Ki-46 into a Ki-45? Just a few ideas - some might be WIP anyway.
