[DOWNLOAD] Battle of Brunete, 1937 - New SCW Campaign!
#1

Inspired by the latest generation of Mods, that also caters for the Spanish Civil War (nations, voices, medals, aircraft etc) I have now made a SCW campaign myself. It is called "The Battle of Brunete":

This is a semi-historical, 9-mission static campaign, set during the Spanish Civil War. You are a Nationalist Fighter pilot, the date is July 1937, a big Republican offensive has started, and your unit is rushed to the spot...

The aircraft you are flying is the nimble but undergunned Fiat CR.32.

The missions are mainly fighter sweeps and patrols, some escorts and ground attacks. You will be able to dogfight A LOT, in a biplane against other biplanes - as we now have the Polikarpov I-15bis, one of the most important aircraft on the Republican side. Great fun!

The campaign can be downloaded here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?n...ils&id=417

It's the SM.79 Sparviero, and it's no Mod: it comes with the official 4.09 patch!

I started to play this campaign and first mission was just great. I thought that it will be some boring mission but then crazy biplane action started over airport and I shot down one I-15 then I landed with engine smoking. Big Grin

The case is there is no Cr.32 included in HSFX 4.1...

Sorry, no. The Fiat CR.32 doesn't come with HSFX 4.1, just UP 2.0. You can use BOTH packs - I know I do!!!

Great work Poltava!

Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I have UP 2.0 (upgraded from UP 1.8 ). However, there is no SP folder. Creating one doesn't change the problem as I don't have the files for appropriate awards, ranks etc.

How can I get it to work?

Many thanks,

Eckhart

That's very strange, and I don't know how to solve it. I got my SP folder with all the trimmings through UP.2.

Anyone else who has a clue? This looks like a problem in your installation.

If it does not work, try renaming the folder from "SP" to "En". The case is the SP folder is for Forgotten Countries Mod by sanka , while En is for UP 2.

However, sanka's addition is much better than the one in UP - it has wrong Spanish Republican markings for instance...

Shame they did not include sanka's FC to UP...

So, just rename the folder and it will work.

Thx guys....I found a work around. I used Cracken's SP folder and that did the trick. Very nice missions and it is great to fly those old birds...

Cheers,

Eckhart

By the way, with Cracken's SCW inflight music it is even better. Same for Gaston's great republicain campaign "Espagne"... Big Grin

People, like me, who are still using UI 1.2 + SAS mods,
can play this Campaign too...
You just have to edit the mission files in order to have the SAS CR.32 flyable.
ie Change the entry: Class air.CR_32 to Class air.CR_32quater
I also had to disable the intro movie too, (it failed to load as the UP CR.32 was not existant), by placing the two video files in a new folder.

Enjoy!
