[WIP] Cartagena Map for SCW - reworked version 2.0
#1

In the quest for better looking maps, I thought it a good idea to rework and update the Spanish Civil War map for Cartagena-Murcia. The old textures were perhaps just somewhat too brown and arid and were in 512 pixels in any case.

The map now has 1024 textures, bridges added (as objects - not game generated bridges), roads reworked to accommodate the newly added bridges, the cities Cartagena and Murcia are also enlarged and Puerto Mazarron is now encircled by a modest trench system.

This version is not a replacement for the older, 512 texture version, but rather an addition. Install instructions give the necessary line to be added to the all.ini. You may install over an existing version of this map, it will not remove your older 512 version.

I'm basically lazy, so I haven't moved any airfields, virtually none of the other objects either (just a few that were in water), but I did add objects to the main cities of Cartagena, Murcia and Puerto Mazarron, mostly a train station and some residential objects ... and trees ... need lots of shade in Spain ... ha ha

The idea for a bull fighting arena is something I found elsewhere. It was a sports arena on another map or template i think, possibly by Fly-zo (Croatia template on M4T?) but I adapted it for Spain into a rather over-sized Plaza de Toros ...

The link is up and working. But I don't know what the policy is on Mediafire. I myself, in any case have never received such a message. On other sharing services, rapidshare for instance, it is often a good idea to try early in the morning when there are less people competing for a download slot. Weekdays are better to download as well.

But just clicking on the link to see if it starts can be done as often as you wish.

But in any case to help you out, I uploaded the map to another sharing site. Try this link:
