Sorry, if I missed something but where can I put the custom skins for Spitfire MkI & Ib in order to have them in game.
I put them in the PaintSchemes/Skins/ SpitfireMk1 folder but no joy.

Look in your air.ini
SpitfireMkI air.SPITFIRE1 1 NOINFO gb01 SUMMER
SpitfireMkIb air.SPITFIRE1B 1 NOINFO gb01 SUMMER
The name on the left is the name of the skin folder. IL2 uses the name on the left to define the plane in the game. So the two skin folders are:
SpitfireMkI
SpitfireMkIb

Air.ini is located at (IL246)\Files\com\maddox\il2\objects.
Just rename the folder(s) in PaintSchemes\ Skins folder.
