install HSFX 4.1 > you'll get the most recent AAA mods along with 4.09m compatibility and by doing that you will support unifying of IL2 modding community .

UP is just repack of HSFX like it was repack of UI's before .... second hand stuff

I wholeheartedly agree with Dakpilot here, one can't help but feel that UP is being ridiculed in one form or another, or perhaps singled out as the Anti-AAA, and trying to hock HSFX as the go around instead of using UP2.0. What FM's have been tweaked at SAS?? As for mod packages, AAA, HSFX, and UP have all done it with various mods on the web, then zo talks about people not sharing their mods because of not getting proper credit..... this is getting stretched way out guys, I am sure I can say this with confidence, the majority of us appreciate and are thankful for the modders bringing more depth to the game, but jeesh, you are already tweaking someone elses work when you made yer first mod and posted it, Oleg and the gangs. Instead of hocking a specific mod pack from down the way (HSFX) and trying to sway the masses against another (UP), look past personal feelings (yeah, there are a lot of us that CAN read between the lines) be proud of your modding abilities, know that there are folks in the world that enjoy your work and stop the indirect and ill disguised smack talking (especially from a moderator/admin) from a site we ALL at this point enjoy (AAA). Why not let the players decide, I did, I still use 1.2UI for offline play and UP2.0 for online, my decision, just as others will decide, whether it be AAA,HSFX,UP

as usual when ran out of arguments ... lets blame fly_zo for telling the truth :-?

and that from people who never made any mod and have 7 posts :-? ... demanding unification

well AAA (as agreed) is de-brand its mod pack and accepted HSFX as neutral unified mod pack with stuff from all IL2 mod community .

And what UP did ? ... broke given word and continued with publishing UP mod packs !

only now with altered perfectly fine AAA mods

enough said about unification

you're barking at the wrong tree !

Zo, I don't see what your getting all bent out of shape about for one, another, no, I am not a modder I am a player, sorry to offend thee for not being a modder and posting here, if you don't want to share mods then don't, if you don't want the game packs to all work in harmony, then don't, but I think it's a disgrace that after you post your mods, that you are so into yourself that you get livid when a "regular" player posts an opinion, nobody pointed fingers to anything but you when you started preaching that UP was the anti-christ. I for one, will refrain from downloading anymore of YOUR mods if your so much on the division of modder/player. You are not a god there zo, and it is a free site, why not chill and just let the player side decide where they want to go??

EDIT- my apologies for this foolishness, it's truly pathetic

Zo, sorry i didn't realise i had to have more than 7 posts or to have published a mod to be allowed to have an opinion. And i was not DEMANDING unity only agreeing with the principle. Re read your first post to see what my opinion was about. Without any provocation you started with a bad attitude, and are now continuing with one. Sorry for causing exactly what i was complaining about, i will now retreat to just reading as i used to

.. if you can't handle the truth then that is probably for the best

It is time that someone clearly say what's really going on with unification, mod repacks and mod "alterations" at UP

Look, the initial meaning of this topic was to know the difference between UP and UI(UI IMHO can include HSFX) and so helpfl advice has been offered on what he should D/L. Fly_zo is entitled to voice his opinions and say which route he thinks is best. His view my be slightly biased, but if you went to UP and asked te same question then they would advocate their pack. I really don't see what the problem here is.
And as far as post counts etc go, Dakpilot you have been here for a few months. Fly_zo has been here for a few years and so have I nearly. We know our history. We're not saying that recent members can't have an opinion, but bear in mind that your credibility will not be so high. It's harsh but psychologically true. Wink
And with regards to zo's attitude, if you've been as sandered as he has recently (mostly for stupid reasons) then I think you might understand. As it is I can't see anything about zo's posts which could compromise unity. Repacking HSFX intead of working towards a unified mod pack IMHO compromises unity.

Look clearly you can have fun with UP; the problem is the morals behind it. We're not saying it is a really bad pack, but in all fairness it is a repack of HSFX with a few more mods and tweaked FM's. However, I am in no doubt that it is enjoyable. I just hope this is the last UP so that we can have our unified pack! Big Grin

S~ Phil, I agree it is a fun pack, and I am just happy to be able to fly online with forgotten skies and scourched earth, plus I like the fact it can kick back to 4.09m if need be, I am with you, lets get em ALL together, and then go , whew!!! Glad thats over with. But seriously my man, you think average joe is worried about who did what to what? no he just wants to fly, so some of these lil arguments are moot to start with. You keep em flyin Phil :yay:

It's us oldies who've been here a while. The average user probably isn't bothered about all the politics of it, but us? Yeah we are. It can be hard to understand and it will always be difficult to explain. No two stories are similar Wink

So in YOUR opinion phil, what is so snafu about some of the FMs in the UP pack? From all I can see there may be a variance slightly to the handling of some mustangs, but with the wind/propwash activated I hardly notice any difference, so what do you think?
