I am having a problem getting to run my game in "Perfect Mode". I've been looking for answers and I can't find any. When I click on the perfect button and it kicks in, my screen goes black. I can still see clouds and the plane I'm flying but nothing else. I know there has got to be a fix for this but where?
Any help would be appreciated.

system specs would really help here espicialy your video card. if ATI turn off advanced AI settings, NVIDIA no threaded optimization on ,

I had that problem too. Select il2set.exe in root folder IL2 1946 and set video settings on max. From there you can tweak it further.

Probably an ATI card?

First you have to be sure you are in OpenGL and not Directx, perfect mode is not allowed in Directx
