After a long wait of over 3 weeks my Adds among them Ostfront came with the mail today. Now i had to make a clean install anyway so i have now an install of IL-2 1946--> Patch 4.08--> Patch4.09--> HSFX 4.0--> HSFX 4.1 and STAB. Now the game starts good go to a Kurland mission (the FW 190 campaign) only wenn i read the briefing and make the skin choice etc. i go start the mission and then i look at my desktop????? What did i do wrong here??

try this dgen patch - its for Ostfront, it includes the latest DGen.exe 4.0.6.12

theres also an error log (dgen.log) being generated in the root of you game folder, you could post its contents if its there (the normal program behaviour if you got wrong dgen version etc. is a beeping sound when you press play)

I too have Ostfront as well as the other add-on campaigns.

You MUST install them before you patch to 4.08.

Do a fresh install of 1946.
Install Ostfront and any other 3rd party Campaigns (Payware) you may own.
Patch to 4.08
Patch to 4.09
Then install mods.

That should get you going.

I have Ostfront.. it loads up and works fine.
Patched the game to 4.09..
Installed mod package..
Added Battle over Europe..
Added Ostfront..
Everything working normaly.

i just need to know this i must do a reinstall anyway for the 4th time now so the order is...

and then a last question add-ons like Ostfront have several patches do i still need those?? same goes for other add-ons. It's not become easier to keep the keep the game running that's for sure just wanna do it right this time.

I believe Enjoyr patches will sort out all necessary updates to various addons.

I installed mods over the addons (already had them before mods) but i don't think it really matters if you install mods first or addons first.

But make sure to install the Enjoyr patch, it will save you a lot of headache.

I installed UP 2.0, then OstFront, then Enjoyr 5.1 "B" patch and every thing plays fine.
