Driveable Jeeps
#1

Hi all,

I have HFSX4.1 and I tried to install the jeeps that are driveable from SAS. Every time I try to install them the game crashes at 60%. I know where the Plane_ru thing is and the air.ini also. I also made a MODS folder since HSFX doesn't come with one. Can someone help me.

Thanks,

You probably need a new buttons file. 60% ctd are usually caused by having outdated buttons.

Here is where you can get the latest version:

Download and install. Install instructions are usually included. But whatever you do, MAKE A COPY OF YOUR OLD BUTTONS FILE FIRST before installing the latest version ... just in case.

no need for that. Download 0_diff_FM you'll need it (sorry that may not be named exactly correct but it has those 3 names in the file). This does not use an FM from the buttons file. It tells it to load the FM from within the MODS folder. Look at the Jeep folder and you'll see a file called WAGEN that is the FM that it loads.

If i get the SAS buttons, where in my HSFX 4.1 do i put it? drop into JSGME and activate?

Plus what is the diff of SAS offline buttons and online buttons?

I don't have HSFX, so please look carefully before you place new buttons in any location. Check this out first. I do however doubt very much it can be activated with JSGME though ... Be careful and check first.

As for difference between online and offline buttons, it's explained in the accompanying readme or on the site itself. Basically it has to do with opening canopies for several planes. Online buttons features opening canopies and the offline does not (or the other way around).

Apparently i do need it because if i try to use the Wellington, it crashes on 60% which is the button CTD, i think.

Anyways, i did try to use the button from SAS and that failed at 60% too. Main question now is, how do i add planes (or that jeep) in HSFX 4.1?
