Hello
I would love to get my computer online with the Ultra Pack 2 experience. However I can not get the 4.08 to load over top 4.07. What do I need to do?
i REALIZE I need to do a clean install from the beginning to finish the sequence of installations of 4.07...4.08....4.09...then UP2.

Two things to check:

1) Do not install to the default directory (\programs); you will not have write permission there. Install to another directory such as \games. So your install directory would be something like c:\games\IL-2 Sturmvovik 1946

2) Make sure when you install the patches and mod packs that you install with an account that has admin privelges. and/or use "run as administrator" when you kick off the batch file.

If you buy the game off Steam, it comes as v4.08m
