Hi all tiger 33,s sound mod is out but i am having trouble installing it on hsfx 4.1 and up 2.0 can someone who installed it please make a easier discription on how to install the mod step by step,i am so confused with the read me that came with the mod,thank you so much in advance,also will it work online for all servers?also here is a link for those that dont have it

Just got done testing it with my UP2.0, all things are a go!! The way i installed it was to make a new folder named "UV2" and put it in my mods folder, in the new folder i put preset and sample folder and the .preload file. I then put the 0_New Sounds + Flyby folder in the mods folder. Then I took and replaced the buttons file in the gui that came with the pack with the buttons file in Mods/STD/gui/game, de-activated my previous sound mod folders I was using in my Mods folder, and got it to work. Hope that helps

heres what i did...

Step 1 - Download

Step 2 - Open Zip file

Step 3 - open UV2 Final folder in zip.

Step 4 - drag Files folder to the MODS folder in my HSFX 4.1 install

Step 5 - open the mods folder in the ZIP and drag 0_New Sounds + Flyby to the MODS folder in my HSFX 4.1 install

Step 6 - Open English Read - Me

Step 7 - Open Conf.ini in my HSFX 4.1 install

Step 8 - change [HookViewFly Config] entries to the following

timeFirstStep=2.9
deltaZ=60.0

Step 9 - Change [sound] entries to following

SamplingRate=1
NumChannels=0
SoundFlags.hardware=0
SoundFlags.forceEAX1=0

Step 10 - Save Conf.ini and load up my hsfx 4.1 game and enjoy the sounds with a big happy grin upon my face.

.preload and buttons file; place in a separate folder, where ever you place your back up; name that folder I.E. up2.0 or HSFX back up sound and gui.

*:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\files

add the presets folder and the Samples folder

Make back up of .preload, place into back up folder replace the tigger sound mod .preload file in here.

inside the same files folder you will see a folder named gui open it, inside is the game folder; open it, look for the buttons file, cut /paste that into you so named back up folder explained earlier.

*:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files\gui\game
buttons. place the tiger sound mod buttons file in here.

make this folder all-so "mods"
*:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\mods place the flyby sounds folder in here.
your done launch your game.

further testing being done with this.I get Null for P38's new FM's....

I would guess that would go for the same new models..

It would be the buttons file; so I just reverted everything back to the original up 2.0 or HSFX and I'm running fine now..

S~ Whats the deal with the 38?? I tried a run thru after I installed it the way I said earlier, and everything worked, I tested my p_51s, p38, jets, heavys, everything was normal, except for the coolest sounds to be heard on IL2....

I dl'd the zip then extracted to desktop & the following WinRAR diagnostic message popped up...

! C:\xxxxxxxxxxxx\---\Desktop\UV2_Final.rar: CRC failed in UV2 Final\Files\Samples\centaurus_1000.wav. The file is corrupt
! C:\xxxxxxxxxxxx\---\Desktop\UV2_Final.rar: CRC failed in UV2 Final\Files\Samples\xR-3350_2000.wav. The file is corrupt

Anyone else get that happen?

I have a clean HSFX v4.1 and i install the mod like it:
First i download 3 files

i open readmefile and i did all that i had to do in the conf.ini
Iactive all the 3 mods wwith Gsjme.exe
and it run perfectly

Wow!!!Fly-by are fantastic!
What a great mod! May be the best sound mod since the beginning of modding, definitely a must have. Personally I installed it on a fresh UI1.2. I closely followed instructions given by Tiger, they are very clear. It works fine!!! I notice that for HSFX users he says that you should not installed it via JSGME ,MANUAL INSTALLATION ONLY . So don't be surprised if there is trouble. May be I'll try to install it on my clean HSFX.
