I opened a template using GIMP and mainly made it using parts of other images that I have made, if you click my signature you will see my gallery and the image called "Watery Sun" is what I mainly used for the colours.

Or you can go here... Watery Sun!

I do a lot of image making using GIMP it's kind of my hobby. So I just did a lot of editing. The skins XCF (G.I.M.P format) has about 50 layers.

I tryed to make my own skin in Photoshop but IŁ "cant see" my skins. I usually open some IŁ-2 skin, later after recolored i save it in BMP format and save in destination folder.

But it cant work.

Ok I don't have photoshop so I don't know how exactly but you have to convert the image from RGB mode to Indexed with 256 colours before saving as a bmp.

AAAAAAAH! Confusedhock: I just went blind looking at that plane!

Very interesting, but for an aerial combat situation... your caught in a minute.
Still, its an interesting color scheme. Those skin folds on the me-109 are really dificult.
Good luck on yer future creations Smile

Cheers

Yeh I prefer working with brighter colours but I didn't want to do the same thing again. I can never come up with good ideas so I have to just make it up as I go along =P

Maybe I'll make another tie die one tomorrow. Someone requested the He-L-IIIB2 so I might do that one.

Maybe start at center top fusilage or cockpit with bright white and progressivly blend to dark outwards in a cirlcle, then do the opposite to the bottom?
.. just a thought..

Heck if I remember that for the next skin that's exactly what I will do. I like working with shades of a single colour as well as the full spectrum I just don't do well with more realistic colours.
