I'm sorry to hear that, but i think the easiest way is to reinstall.
I have another copy of the game on diff. h.d. i was hoping could find files i screwd up & make copys from my other copy of the game and replace them. think that might work ? :?:
By the way, I know someone who is much more experienced and knowledgeable about files. I feel there is a good possibility that he knows about the arming file. I'll ask him if he has the time right now to help you here. He is a very busy person. He might get to it today.
Can you recall what mod you installed just before this problem started?
My pal, 8thFS_Bulau should be able to help. If he can't get it, then nobody can! 8)
Oh, no, I really have no special insight into the inner workings of this sim. I just read a lot of posts on the forum by people having problems, and take note of the fixes that work.
I have no clue about this one. If you can't recall the Mod you installed right before this started to happen, then it's pretty much impossible to diagnose or come up with a fix. If you have a backup of your working install on another HD, why don't you just replace the pooched one with the backup? Seems like a no-brainer, unless I'm missing something.
If the other copy is not a backup, but another game install, then you could try just replacing your entire Users folder, DCG folder, and conf.ini with ones from the other game install.
If you still have your U.I. 1.0 install files, then backup your air.ini, buttons, static.ini, technics.ini, ships.ini and try reinstalling that overtop, then but the backed up buttons and .ini files in. If that does not work, then you'll have to reinstall, which will take less time than it will to try to fix this.
