THere was a lot of discussion done on this last year, but I think they ran into a problem with the dual use weapons and weren't able to get it worked out. Could be, though that someone is still working on it, we just haven't gotten an update.

Well, here's a suggestion for the weapons. On the P-61A, make a P-61A-10NO that just has the 4x.20mm cannons and an optional fuel tank where the turret was for those birds of the Pacific that used that mod. Then, make a P-61A-11NO. The 4x.50cal machine guns would be an optional, fixed forward-firing gun pod. The P-61A-11NO also has the ability to 2x265gal or 2x310gal drop tanks or 2x1600lbs bombs. Then make the P-61B-15NO. That one had the turret re-introduced. Have the co-pilot be the gunner since the radar operator now has a job with AIR having been added to IL2. I would suggest making a F-15A-1NO Reporter as well.

You know what, I remember Deac telling me that someone was working on this recently. He had checked into it with somebody who knew about the subject.

Good morning, afternoon or evening all,...in fact the IL-2 planelist do need some important warbirds of the years 1939 to 1945 - The Black Widow P-61, the Dornier Do 17/217, the A-26 Marauder, the Ju-188, a Helldiver and a Gloster Meteor too...instead of building the 900.Bf and the 800.Spitfire I hope some of those really good Mod-teams and -persons will do us the favour: thx & bye, Charos

Building new varients of planes we already have requires much less work than building new planes from scratch. Anyway, the Do17, Do217, Ju-188, Helldiver and Meteor are already WIP, so we should get these planes sooner or later.
