I've learned how to change the icon settings through the console (alt tab) and I've even setup my rcu file so I only have to type "friendly" and "foe" to make the switch. But I I dont like having to do this for every single player mission. Is there a way for me to set it up so that my default mp_dotrange is is changed to the one I wish to use.

I think you can actually put the dotrange commands in your rcu file, but not 100% sure.
That or have the rcu load a file with the settings.

That is correct!
Wright it into the rcu file and it will always initiate the way you want it.

You can indeed write it to the rcu file. there's 4 pages of info on icons and how you can customize them to your liking.
