I'd suggest making a "real" mission using the FMB (also gives you a good excuse for learning how to use the FMB :wink: ) and fly it using the Multiplay | Create new server menu. This will let you tailor a mission exactly to your own specs. Coops will let you put in AI "extras".

This is the way I do it, a bit more of a hassle but I find it worth the effort.
