Hi guys.

I so enjoyed the jeep mod offline and figured it could be even more fun online, so I made a map and put a server on Hyperlobby.
Its called

Vulch_My_Jeep

You can select a jeep and try to race it from the airfield to a nearby town, defeating enemy tanks, armed checkpoints, fighters, trains and more. You can also select a plane and help out your mates in the jeeps, or pick an enemy fighter and try to vulch them!

Its a Zuti MDF dogfight server, you can join at any time, it wont be up 24/7 until Im sure it works properly and move it to a dedicated machine and install a daemon, but it should be on HL most of the time.

Here is a teaser of the map I made:



You will obviously need the jeep mod, as well as zuti 1.12

Hope some of you will give it a try, bring some friends, its hilarious!

Anyway, map reloading isnt working yet, so if you join when Im not around, after an hour or 2 not much will be moving anymore. And anything shot up will remain shot up. Im working on that.

Hmmm.. Do you think someone could take the time to make a proper wave file for the Jeep? So it doesn't sound like a P-40?
But, it is a closer step to having ground battles w/ air support. Thanks modders for your hard work.. Would love to have a "BF 1942"type of mod.. W/ 1st person view. and be able to call in airsupport. But, Wishful thinking on my part

That was cool! Too bad, the Jeep mod doesn't work with my game. Only the original Kuebelwagen mod does. Not even Ranwers' improved Kuebelwagen will run. However, what map were you using? I'd very much like to take my Kuebelwagen for a spin there, and for some powerslides, of course. :wink:

Hi Skinny72,

Thanks for posting those links. I see where some of my Jeep problems might be coming from. I am running IL2-1946 4.09bm plus UI 1.0 and SAS buttons. With this version of the game, I am probably a bit behind recent developments. So, racing the jeep in your wonderful mission will have to wait until I can upgrade my system and my game.
