Wow! Thats the first video with my txtures that I've seen. That looked cool. I'm glad that my textures are liked.

thats weird, i have water=4 set, but it looks no where as good as that.

Bombsaway, I have tried and tried for months now, and for the life of me I cannot get your Midway textures to work. Eveyone congradulating you, but I find your directions hard to follow. Have the new map of midway, and the nice Pacific water. But trying to get your coral reefs to work is beyond me. Can you help ? I need a step by step abc of which folders go where precisly, appreciate any help mate, sorry to sound a thickie, but have tried for months now :-?

Hi acred99, Sorry your having troubles. First you must be able to run your game on perfect settings. Then you have the BP_Midway map and my texture. When I first made this texture I had already put out another that had a Bomsaway_Tarawa folder that this texutre would have went into but it semed too many guys were having trouble with having to download the other textures I made and then would have to put this one in there so lets do this another way. Go to your Mapmods/_tex folder and find the water folder. Place the texutre Shallows6a_Fields_A.tga in there. Then go out to the maps and make sure you have a midway folder with the BP_midway folder in there. Inside that folder you should have a load.ini in there, open it with notepad. and go to the bottom of the page. You will see this...
Water0 = water/water.tga
Water1 = water/water.tga
Water2 =xxxxxxx" what ever there was,sorry dont remember the original enrty" :oops:
Water3 = water/Beach.tga
place a ; "semicolon" infront of the original water2= so it looks like this...
;Water2 =
Then make an entry like this...
Water2 = water/Shallows6a_Fields_A.tga
Then click file, save and then start your game.

Yep got it to finally work Bombsaway, not quite how you said, must have your name in front of the shallows.tga. Anyhow got it done, absaloutly brilliant mate, first class, you deserve all the praise, thanks again I'm a happy man now ! :lol:

Inside your MODS folder you should have a MAPMODS folder
Inside that MAPMODS folder you should have two folders named _Tex (which are your textures), and the other named maps (which are your maps)
Go inside the _Tex folder where you should have another folder named water (..if not, create it)
Inside the water folder there are six files
Shallows1a_Fields_A
Shallows2a_Fields_A
Shallows3a_Fields_A
Shallows4a_Fields_A
Shallows5a_Fields_A
Shallows6a_Fields_A
We will be using this last one (Shallows6a_Fields_A)
Go into your Maps folder, go into the midway folder, inside of it there's a file named BPload.ini
open it and at the very bottom it should read this:
;Water2 = water/Shallows2a_Fields_A.tga
;Water2 = water/Shallows3a_Fields_A.tga
;Water2 = water/Shallows4a_Fields_A.tga
;Water2 = water/Shallows5a_Fields_A.tga
;Water2 = water/Shallows1a_Fields_A.tga
Water2 = water/Shallows6a_Fields_A.tga
;Water3 = land/summer/grnd/fields_proc013.tga
Water3 = water/Beach.tga

You are correct HusarDerLuft, that will work. I'm glad you like the texture. I have made more. Maybe you'll find another you like. Just search my name and then click show all posts. You can also find them all over at the SAS.
