Hi all, I hope someone can give me a hint:

I've been creating a few skins (and, obviously, playing IL2 8) ) on my old laptop, running Windows Vista, and uploading them on Imageshack.

Now i've upgraded to a new laptop with Windows 7. I got IL2 running perfectly, but for some reason i can't upload my skins anymore.
I checked out my internet security configuration, and it looks pretty much the same as on the older system. Nevertheless, if I try to upload a file on Imageshack, the loading bar takes a much longer time, after which page refreshes and nothing has been uploaded.
I also tried Photobucket, but I had the same result: first a long loading time, then an error message: "A network error caused your upload to fail. Please try your upload again".
This happened several times at different hours.

I think i'm missing something about my security settings due to the new OS.

It must be said that, in the meanwhile, i've been downloading other files via torrent, but this shouldn't prevent me from uploading. On the contrary, I thought this proves that my security settings are OK!

System is Intel Core I7, 8 Gb RAM, GeForce 330, Windows 7, browser is Internet Explorer, everything is up-to date.

Any suggestions? Thanks anyway!

Hi,

I doubt that the problem is in your computer. Someone else recently had the same issue with ImageShack. They might be having some temporary technical problems.

Try again later and let us know how it goes.

I just tried disabling my firewall before uploading, but i had the same results: nothing happened on Imageshack, and error message on Photobucket. I still believe the problem is mine, 'cause it's not likely both sites having problems at the same time.

I forgot to say, at this time i'm running McAfee Security Center (because it was already installed on the laptop), which provides antivirus-firewall-every security stuff itself. Maybe I'd better remove it and stay with Windows Firewall and AVG free, as I was with the old computer and happy with it.

PS after today, I won't be online for 2 days. Gotta wait for further experiments...

[EDIT] I've just removed McAfee, installed AVG and switched to Windows Firewall, but still can't upload either on Imageshack or Photobucket, as if there was no connection.
