I just want to take off ,land and fly around and i think hawaii is perfect for this!

But when i save it into a spitfire single mission save and i try to load it up it will just show the sky and a kind of tan texture not even my plane >Sad

how do i make this so I spawn on the airport?

Hi Gaz!

Go back to the FMB, Click on Youre Plane, so the Menu will be shown to You. You must click the Pilot Button in the menu. When You start the Mission again, You sit in the cockpit of Youre Spitfire.

I hope my description could help You. I cant do it better, cause i am German, an my English is not so good. So i cant describe better.

But i hope it will help You.

PS.

Here is a link to a good Site about the FMB. Maybe it could help You.

My guess:

You are not assigning the "player" option to the plane you want to fly on.
Check the "player" box corresponding to "plane 1" in the view Menu.

It does sound like you haven't selected the player option. So when you have added the spit (view-objects-aircraft) and made the waypoints, go to plane 1 and tick the box 'player'. To get your plane to start from an airfield simply drag the first waypoint over an airfield on the map, in the object screen go to waypoints (you will see your waypoint over the airfield flashing) and select 'takeoff' in the 'type' box. The waypoint should snap to the airfield and the symbol will change. Save and fly!

Hope this helps.

I can recommend this site for getting to grips with the full mission builder:
