Can I install mods while already playing the game to see them working or do I need to reboot the game everytime I install a new mod?

Yes, although I have successfuly installed different cloud-mods whilst the game is running to check the difference BTW-by game running I don't mean in-game/flight. I think I have to exit the mission to check out the new mod

Yes, there are a few mods which can be installed while IL-2 is running, but it takes some practice to learn which ones. However, if a user has a good computer and an HSFX based mod pack, then IL-2 will reload after restarting in approximately 40 seconds to two minutes. While mine restarts, I usually do something else for a minute such as check my email.

Have fun with the gigantic amount of mods available-and growing everyday.

Isn't there a listing of the top Mods for IL-2 1946 on this web site or else on Internet?

For exemple: Top Mod 1 Airvraft: B-25 Mod 2: Sabre, etc...for different categories or all mixed together...

Well, though this seems like it would be a good idea on the surface, in reality many people have different opinions about what is the best mod of a type. Not only does this vary at AAA, but there are differences of opinion among modding websites. Also, knew mods are being published literally each day, somewhere in the world-and it is a big world! This site is huge with over 45,000 registered users and thousands of IL-2 pilots. Taking a survey to determine the most popular mods of all categories or doing a scientific study to reveal the best mods is beyond the ability of the inhabitants of Earth at this time...uh, you get the point.

The best we can do is to use the Search and also go to the appropriate Forums and Topics. Once in a topic, then you can request help in finding what you want. Also, there are about a half dozen large mod packs.
