i havw downloaded UI 1.1 and UI 1.2 and installed them in the correct places but then when i use to patch switcher to switch the game from 4.08 to 4.09 it dosen't work because when i go to connect to a server the loading screen still says that i'm on 4.08 and then won'telt me in because the server is on 4.09
Hmm, is it that the switcher isn't working, or is it because U.I. 1.2 is actually 4.09b1m (beta patch), and most online servers are now using 4.09m (final)?
Does it actually say you are on 4.08? The ZUTI DSMod can generate a message that looks like a game version mismatch, but in reality it is a ZUTI DSMod versioni mismatch. U.I. v1.2 comes with DSMod v0.8 RC3.5, which is very outdated now. Most mod pack now are coming with DSMod v1.01, v1.1, or v1.2
But, as I said...the U.I. is based on older 4.09b1m patch, not the latest 4.09m final, which is pretty much everywhere now online.
Ohhhh rite ok then so i need to download the 4.09m patch and then it should work?
so where do i get this patch from and when i do get it which folder do i put it in? the orginal IL-2 sturmovik 1946 folder or the IL-2 sturmovik 1946 mod folder?
yes it dose say i'm on 4.08 when i'm connecting to the server down in the bottom elft hand corner it says 4.08
If it says 4.08, then the switcher isn't working, or your U.I. install went wrong. How are you using the switcher, from a shortcut? Have you directed Hyperlobby to your U.I. install, rather than an unmodded 4.08 install?
What do you see, if anything, when you run the IL2Switcher, and change something?
What Operating System do you have?
As far as the 4.09 patch goes, No, you can't apply that over the U.I., it simply is not compatible.
If you want to upgrade to 4.09m, you'll need to use one of the new 4.09m compatible Mod Packs, like HSFX or UltraPack, both of which need to go over a clean install of the game, first patched to 4.08m, then 4.09m.
