Hello,

I bought IL2:1946 from Steam. Unfortunately, this version of the game for some reason does not have a proper il2setup.exe (and neither the il2set.exe). There was a topic on ubisoft forums where someone had the exact same problem and a filefront link was provided to download the proper file. However, this link does not work anymore.

Could somebody please be so kind and upload the il2setup.exe (may also be named il2set.exe) from their main installation folder. As you know, it is an essential configuration utility and I am really pissed on Steam for screwing this up with their version.

Hi pierre1946, I have IL2 from Steam and have exactly this problem, all i can find close enough to il2setup.exe is il2set.exe and all it does is open the game like any old desktop shortcut does.

when i tried to download il2setup.exe from your first link it said the file was unavailable....is there anywhere else i can get his file?

IL2Setup is certainly handy to have, but there is absolutely nothing it does that cannot be done by directly editing your conf.ini in Windows Notepad. In fact, you can do even more with Notepad than you can with IL2Setup, and will learn a lot more about tweaking your game in the process.

I too have the same problem but i am only missing il2fb.exe
