Forced Viewing Angle
#1

I did a search but couldn't find an answer to this: basically whenever I start the simulation, the camera view snaps so that I'm looking to the right-rear of whatever plane I'm flying in. If I switch to external views it does the same thing and it is making the game unplayable. Whenever I use the hat switch or move the mouse to look in a different direction, the view snaps back again within one second.

I have disconnected the joystick to see if that was the problem but it still happens.

This is on 4.09 with latest version of HSFX. However, I had the same issue on a clean installation.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I had the same probkem about a year ago. I had TrackIR 4...I think it was a setting or mod issue. I just reinstalled Il-2 and it worked. Check your conf.ini for Trackir settings or your TrackIr settings or your Il-2 controls. There might be a conflict.
Or just uninstall your Trackir driver, and reinstall (reboot Windows to ake it work clean).
Now I have this same problem again but just at the start of a mission or campaign

I have Ultra Pack 2 with 6DOF mod enabled. I just have to press F9 (my setting) to deactivate TrackIR while in flight, then press F1 and "5" to center view, and reactivate TrackIR with F9 and no more problem. This could be due to inappropriate TrackIR settings
: for example headshake should be smooth and not radical because the TrackIR viexing fields is limites and you might go outside of its scope (if you follow me)..

I also heard about an il62 ingame option that enable to center and control trackir view, but I can't remember the thread of the keyboard key (* maybe??)

If you dont use trackir, then go to conf.ini and set trackir=0

In the controls (HOTAS) setup there should be options for padlock views or normal. make sure a key is assigned and toggle padlock off.

While there set a key for forward view (I use num pad 5). now go to TIR setup and assign same key to centre view. Make sure it is not bound to work only in track IR - uncheck "trap Key".

per Hotas scree Wrote:SNAP VIEW
Toggle Snap/Pan View ScrollLock
...
...
PAN VIEW

Center View num pad 5 (not default key)
