Actually there were reported UFOs in WWII. The famous "Foo Fighters" were reported in the skies over Germany. Also check out the book "The Hunt for Zero Point" by Nick Cook. Very interesting read, whether you take it as fiction or fact.

In IL2 it would be interesting to by flying over France or Germany, and hear a flight call out a contact that is unidentified, something like "What the hell is that?!" with a vector call, and if you look that direction, you see something... Perhaps not directly interact with it, but seeing it would be cool as well as hearing radio chatter referring to it.
Would be a nice "easter egg" in some modded campaign!
