Correct me please if I've mistaken, but the Boeing B-29 had a 20mm cannon in the tail gunner position, right between the two 12,7mm guns. Where are they anyway for the game :?:

I think the early productions of the B-29 had the 20mm cannon. But, was later taken out to save weight.

I think the default B-29 in IL-2 has actually the armament of the B-29 A, with four 12.7mm in the upper forward turret and no 20mm cannon in the tail whilst the B-29 had just two 12,7mm in every turret but the 20mm in the tail gunners position in the early production variants..
The B-29 B had no turrets at all.

"The B-29A was powered by four R-3350-57 engines. 1119 B-29As were built, block numbers reaching -75. The 20-mm cannon was removed from the tail turret beginning with production Block 20, and a pair of 0.50-inch guns were added to the top forward turret to provide additional protection against fighter attacks coming from the front."

That was the actaul site, unfortunatelly it's out of service now. I find the infos on my HDD in saved htmls.
