i have just tried to load a FMB mission on the english channel map. but when i hit play the dropdown menu just disappears and i cant play it

open with notepad the conf.ini in your game root folder and set this parameters in [OpenGL] section:
TexCompress=2
TexFlags.TexCompressARBExt=1

If this doesn't work, I can't help you :/
