Crash at 60%
#1

I have installed: IL-2 1946 DVD
Mod Activator 5.2
English Career Language Fix
AC Installer 3.8
MiG-15
F-86
When starting up the game it crashes at 60% and it just returns to my desktop. What am I doing wrong?

go to SAS (google Special Aircaft Service), get and install their buttons file.

Probably easier if you get the HSFX mod pack. it includes both of those aircraft and many more.

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

Those aircraft are not supported by AC Installer 3.8.
Do as Moggy suggest.

After installing the dvd did you patch the game up to 4.09m before installing HSFX ?

i think this reply of yours is causing confusion, Aurora....
what did you try, and didn't work? SAS buttons or HSFX? it's a bit unclear there....
also, what exactly do you mean by 'it didn't work'? what error do you get?
either way, as mentioned, if you get HSFX, the planes are included, no need for anything else.
if using ModAct 5.2, then you need to use the SAS buttons. DO NOT use AC Installer 3.8, it is terribly outdated.
The SAS buttons DOES work - if you still get a 60% crash, then you've done something wrong with your air.ini entries...
